UPDATE=CONGRATS cropper@swbell.net FOR BEING THE WINNER OF THE BOOK GIVEAWAY AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.
These past couple years I have been having a hard time getting my now 11 year old step son to love writing or at least like it. When I noticed he had about 3 weeks of school left before summer break, I was blessed with an email. This offer couldn’t have came at a better time as JJ is extremely close to failing READING.
I agreed to read a copy of the book:
500 Writing Prompts for Kids: First Grade through Fifth Grade
The hardest part of this assignment was finding just one topic to write on. With summer around the corner we will have JJ, week on/off so I will be giving him the choice to pick his own topic each week.
JJ’s reaction at first was “this is boring”, but once he started using his imagination the story wrote itself. For his 1st story with no real directions he did AWESOME. He used so much detail telling the story his teacher would have been so proud. The book works for ALL AGES
ON TOP OF ALL THIS GREAT INFO—
