Salt Dough Hand Prints

A while back I came across a great project for salt dough crafts. Since the recipe was so easy I decided to have the kids make Grandpa and Grandma some birthday gifts. (Dad if you see this STOP READING) (He hasn’t seen his gift yet)

You will need

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup water

DIRECTIONS

1. Have the kids mix the ingredients together, roll the dough into a ball and flatten with a rolling pin.

2. Once dough is mixed and flattened, place on wax paper, preheat oven to 200 degrees and have the kids gently but firmly place hands into the dough. Place in oven for 2 hours.

3. When they come out of the oven they should be nice and hard. Once cooled you may paint them.
