DANCING RAISINS
The Purpose
To see the effects of carbon dioxide. When baking soda and vinegar combine, it releases carbon dioxide gas which causes the craisins to rise.
- Pour 3/4 cup of water in a glass jar and then stir in 2 tbsp. of baking soda.
- Add two drops of food coloring.
- Put 7 craisins inside the glass jar.
- Add a few drops of vinegar.
- Wait a couple of minutes to watch the craisins rise.
