I came across what could be a great Science project, while visiting Pinterest, a couple weeks ago. Super easy to do and since I had the roots already there was no need to buy more.
Place the roots from green onions in a glass of water
After a week they were ready to be cut
Since these grow so fast (every week will need to be cut) you can place them in an empty water bottle in place in the freezer. When you cook with them, just shake out what is needed.
Both Ideas came from Pinterest.

I saw this and wondered about trying it. I think we will give it a go. Stopping by from Science Sunday.
Aah – love the freezing part – I didn’t use mine right away, and they started getting yucky! Gonna go freeze what I can right now
That looks like fun – thanks for the freezer tip!
Oh, I need to give that a try! Of course that would require I’m using green onions on a regular basis………..
Thanks for linking up to Science Sunday!
I love this! I am pinning it. What a great idea.

Great science experiment. Thanks for sharing. I have a recipe that uses green onions, so this is perfect!
