The NEW School Room

I was lucky enough to have an extra room in my house, that I could use as a school room. Last year when I started schooling, I had PLENTY of room. As the year went on and my materials started to grow, my once big school room, dwindled away. I’ve always envied the families who get to “school” anywhere. As I was looking around at my little space, I got a great idea! I called my husband and he agreed (another reasons he is awesome).

Anyhow, I now school in my living room, like a lot of other homeschoolers =)

This is my desk, weekly lesson plan and the cabinet w/ all the things I dont want kids playing w/ alone.

This is our workbox/game area  (look there’s my front door..lol)

The kids now have desk that face the whiteboard!

You know you’re a homeschooler when…you a have a whiteboard on your living room wall =)

OK, so maybe my living room isn’t the exact same as other homeschoolers…but it works for us  =)

  1. Very cool. The fact that you’d turn your living room into your home school shows you are truly dedicated to educating your kiddos. We are just doing preschool right now and it’s taken over one full counter top and a wall in my kitchen/dining room. I’ve wondered what’s going to happen when we start official school.

  2. It looks wonderful! :-) I love it! It is so bright and cheerful. Looks like it would be a lot of fun to learn in there! :-)

    Many blessings,

  3. If you ask me, it’s too cool!!
I have never had a room specifically for homeschooling, whether the living room or kitchen. We switch around every year it seems.
Jasmine’s books that I am using with her are sitting on a laptop stand next to my desk here. The dry erase board hides away behind the movie shelf when not in use.

    • It works because my husband has his little man cave..lol The kids love it and I still wake up thinking it’s cool! Thanks for stopping by =)

  4. I wish I was in the same school!
